2003 Entering the Chinese market
The Toniolo family, present in different aspects of the stone industry for 3 generations and in the machine manufacturing industry since 1986, decided in 2003 to found AitalMAC in order to enter the Chinese market — an aim impossible to reach with Italian production costs.
2004 The first plant in Gao Chun was completed
In 2004 the family — Toniolo Romeo and his two sons — moved to China after the construction of the first plant in Gao Chun (Nanjing) was completed. AitalMAC’s objective since its establishment has been to manufacture high-quality stone processing machines at reasonable prices; this vision enabled the company to quickly become an internationally recognized leader in the stone industry and beyond.
2005-2009Invests in research and development
In the meantime, AitalMAC invested in research and development: in 2005 it produced its first low-footprint 3-phase motor, and in 2006 it started the mass production of CNC controllers with Japanese processors. In 2007 it began manufacturing gearboxes and worm gear jacks, and in 2008 it expanded its electronic components production with the addition of servo drives for AC brushless motors.
2010 First product patented in China
In 2010, the family decided to use its know-how to develop its own machines and enter the international market under the AitalMAC name, closing all construction contracts for third parties.
The same year, AitalMAC patented one of its products — the electric spindle for edge polishers. This patent was the first of a long series that continues to this day.
2011The newly founded company: Aitek
In 2011, R&D and manufacturing were separated: machine production was carried forward by AitalMAC, while R&D was transferred to the newly founded company Aitek.
2014 UNIX-based CNC controller developed by Aitek
In 2014, after receiving a government certificate, AitalMAC was recognized as a software developer, becoming a full-fledged software house capable of certifying its own software.
In the same year, AitalMAC certified the UNIX-based CNC controller developed by Aitek, a technology that allows simultaneous 9-axis interpolation with kinematic modules.
2015 A number of patents filed
In 2015, AitalMAC filed the patent for tool wear compensation, used in CNC machines to always achieve a perfect finish.
Also during the same year, AitalMAC filed other patents, including the design of both the BK and MST series.
Constant evolution led AitalMAC to patent a system for the manufacture of diamond tools with 3D printers.

AitalMAC spindles. Updating the entire production of spindles to class Y3 has brought significant improvements in performance and efficiency. In particular:
1.Improved efficiency: The efficiency of the new spindles has been improved by over 20%, meaning these motors convert a higher percentage of input energy into useful mechanical energy.
2.Increased torque: Despite the size remaining the same, the level of force or torque delivered by the motors has been increased. This could result in a greater capacity for torque application for various applications.
3.Reduced energy consumption: Despite the increase in force, the overall energy consumption of the motors has been reduced. This can lead to more efficient and environmentally sustainable operation.
4.Wide torque range: Thanks to the upgrades, the torque range of the motors has been expanded. This means the motors can be used in a wider range of applications, adapting to different torque requirements.
These improvements are significant as they contribute to making the spindles more efficient and effective in a variety of industrial applications.
